Teeth Whitening With Rembrandt: The Saga

I’d stumbled across the brand Rembrandt about three years ago when I first looked into teeth whitening options, but kind of brushed them aside in favor of more commercially lauded and available products (like my beloved Crest 3D Whitestrips).  Now that I’d gone through a full box of that type of treatment, I’ve noticed that my teeth have begun to inch back towards their mildly discolored state (and I refuse to give up coffee!).  Unfortunately, the Crest 3D Effects toothpaste just doesn’t seem to be cutting it.  So, after seeing a brief blog post on the wonders of Rembrandt products, I decided to hunt down a tube and give it a whirl. Below are my teeth right before using the product for the first time (please forgive the slight crookedness of my bottom teeth… I did have braces, but my retainer broke a month ago {getting a new one in a few weeks} and they’ve definitely shifted):

I’ll be keeping you guys updated weekly about my progress (gross teeth-pics included!), and we’ll see if the Rembrandt INTENSE STAIN Toothpaste is really worthy of being a niche brand gem…

After

I dunno, do you guys see a difference?  I mean, I wasn’t expecting much after the very first use, but figured I’d give it a go…

I do see a slight difference, nothing earth shattering, but I really think it’s because you need to give it a bit more time with more uses. I’ve heard recommendations to brush your teeth after drinking teeth-staining beverages (coffee, wine, soda, though I don’t drink the latter), and since this isn’t always practical, it might be beneficial to rinse your mouth with water when you’re done and try to sip through a straw whenever possible, so more of the liquid will go past your teeth without touching them. I think citrusy drinks can also cause tooth decay, so the rinsing water after having fruit drinks can help, too.

Let us know how the toothpaste works if you decide to continue to use it, I’m curious!

Hey! This is so embarrassing… I left my bottle of the MUFE HD in Russia… I’m having them send it to me. I already wrote the review, but haven’t taken pics yet… the minute it arrives, I’ll snap a few quick swatches and the review will be up, I promise!!

I know exactly what you mean about the retainer. I just didn’t wear mine outta laziness and strangely only my bottom teeth shifted. Curious and curiouser…

Yeah, my top teeth have only shifted a tiny bit, but I can definitely feel that my bottom teeth have moved… Can’t wait to get my replacement lol!
